So the next story in the Saga of Abraham is “The Sin of Sodom.” It is the most poorly understood of any tale in the Bible. That misunderstanding has led to centuries of unrighteous indignation, hatred, persecution, and even death. So it is very important to read and understand this tale in its proper perspective and get it right. It is not about the “hot” sins of other people who live differently from me. It is about my very own, very “cold” sins.

So I think we ought to wait for it a couple of days. I think we all ought to read Genesis 19:1-29 very carefully, and reflect upon it for a day or two, and then each one ask the question, what is this story telling me about me?
